Ajith Anil Meera received his PhD from TU Delft in 2023, under the supervision of Martijn Wisse. His work focused on applying the principles of active inference for the estimation, control and planning of UAVs. He received his Masters degree from TU Delft with cum laude and honours. He did his Masters thesis at ETH Zurich at the Autonomous Systems Lab under Roland Siegwart. His thesis was on developing an informative path planning algorithm for UAVs for urban search and rescue operation. He is the cofounder of RIG-NITC where he used to design and build robots that can walk, swim and crawl. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Donders Institute under Pablo Lanillos developing robot metacognition algorithms for autonomous tool invention. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at TU Eindhoven under Wouter Kouw. His current research focusses on using active inference for decision making, control and navigation of walking robots.
